you tell us, give us a little capsule of what the boy kings of texas is all about. domingo: well ostensibly the book is about a coming of age memoir, but there was so much other things going on in the area that by merely giving sort of a side scan sonar of my experiences growing up, and telling other peoples stories, and pretty much not focusing solely on myself, my own observations, and trying to sort of detail the lives, the motivations and reasons of other people you know the story of the first, second and third generation immigrant story it sort of turned into something much larger. and i think its hitting at a very particular time in american history where people are curious about whats happening sort of south of the border, and especially in areas such as brownsville, texas which is very much a place that exists sort of in two worlds, two time zones and you know that causes a lot of divisions in the people that live there. and the book is about a lot of it is about transformation. and a lot of it is about assimilation and the conflicts that kind of arise from
